Front Porch Flower Pots at Affordable Prices: Where to Find the Best Ones

Front porch flower pots can be quite expensive. The bigger the pot, obviously, the more expensive. This makes it tempting to buy smaller pots or to leave your flowers and plants in the containers they came in. I’ve done the work though to find the most affordable options, that look the best that you can reuse year after year. Front porch flower pots are an investment you can use year after year, that will make the front of your house looking beautiful.

Choosing the Right Front Porch Flower Pots

There are a few things to consider when buying flower pots for your front porch. These things include size, material, style, and drainage. For outdoor use you are most likely going to want pots that are 12″ or larger. I find that plastic for outdoors is a really good option as plastic isn’t breakable and really easy to wash down if they get dirty. There are some great options that we’ll talk about later that are plastic ,but look like other material. Style…obviously you want something that looks good. I’ve found some really affordable pots that are so ugly at big box stores like Lowes and Home Depot. Who buys those? I found it much more challenging to find something that was more my style. Finally, drainage holes are so important. Ideally a flower pot will come with a drainage hole, but if not make sure you are able to add one yourself before you plant anything in it.

Target

One of my favorite places to buy large affordable porch flower pots is Target. In my experience all the pots are $60 or below for a large pot, and in true Target fashion are always stylish. One thing to keep in mind is their flower pots always sell out super quickly so if you see something you like get it early in the season.

Front porch flower pot — This is one of my favorite pots I own. It is plastic ,but looks very modern. It comes in multiple sizes and colors, the largest is 20″ for only $30 which is an absolute steal. This one checks all of the boxes!

Amazon

Another place to buy front porch flower pots is Amazon. I bet you didn’t see that coming. They have so many options. Some modern, some intensely ugly. Here is a round up of some of my favorites.

Front porch flower pot tall square — If you have a really big front porch these are a great option. These are 30″ and only $64 each. Making them a great affordable option to have planters that flank your front door.

Front porch flower pot terrazzo look alike — These terrazzo look alike are plastic, come in a pack of three, have a drainage hole, and only cost $30. You can’t go wrong.

Front porch flower pot concrete look alike — These modern looking planters are made of concrete and come in a pack of three. For only $70 you could have all the planters you need for your front porch.

Walmart

Last year I saw the first planter on this list go “viral” amongst the diy /decor crowd on the internet. I don’t have a Walmart near me and when I did they never had a great selection. Much to my surprise Walmart online has an awesome selection of all sorts of home goods including really affordable, large, stylish, planters. Check out a few of my favorites below.

Front porch flower pot fluted — This is the “viral” flower pot. It’s easy to see why. This is a 16″ pot for only $30 and is made out of resin. When you’re saving this much money on your front porch flower pots, you’ll be able to buy even more flowers.

Front porch flower pot plain black — This one is only $8 for a 15″ pot. While I like the look of the similar one from Target slightly better, this one is even more affordable.

Front porch flower pot with planter stand connected — This resin planter comes in 12″ and 14″ for $26. I love this one because it is like a planter and planter stand all in one

Front porch flower pot tall and textured — Last up from Walmart is this 15″ planter. I like this one because it is really wide, tall, and light weight because it is resin.

Lowes

Lastly, I like to look at Lowe’s for home decor. Between Lowe’s and Home Depot, I find Lowe’s to be a little more geared to a DIY’er and someone who wants to remodel and decorate their home. I find they have a great selection of home decor and even more selection online. Of all of the stores I searched for front porch flower pots I think Lowe’s had the most unique selection.

Front porch flower pot rectangle shaped — This one is the most unique on this list, and also the most expensive. At $88 I still think this one is a good deal for the unique shape that is going to hold a ton of beautiful flowers

Front porch flower pot concrete look — Last up is this beauty. It has it all, it’s light weight, has a drainage hole, is tall AND wide. And would hold a bunch of beautiful flowers on your front porch.
